Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (Hindi: रब ने बना दी जोड़ी; translation: A Match Made by God) commonly referred to as RNBDJ, is a 2008 Indian romantic comedy film directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Raj Films. Shahrukh Khan stars in the film as mild-mannered office worker Surinder Sahni, whose love for beautiful, vivacious Taani (Anushka Sharma), causes him to transform himself into the loud and fun-loving "Raj" to win her love. It was released worldwide on 12 December 2008.The soundtrack of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was composed by Salim-Sulaiman and it became the first Bollywood soundtrack to reach the top ten albums sales for the iTunes Store.This film marks the return of Aditya Chopra to directing after 8 years, since he last directed the film Mohabbatein. The film was not heavily promoted pre-release, contrary to previous Khan or Yash Raj films, mainly because of the filmmakers' decision to keep it low profile due to the terror attacks in Mumbai.Upon release, the film received positive reviews and broke many box office records. It was declared a blockbuster despite the fact that it was released only two weeks after the 2008 Mumbai attacks, amidst uncertainty and apprehensions from the trade regarding market conditions at the time. At the end of its theatrical run, it grossed over INR158 crore (US$31.52 million) worldwide and was also the highest grossing film of the year in the overseas market, thus becoming Yash Raj Films and Shahrukh Khan's highest grossing film at the time of its release.The film is currently the tenth highest grossing Bollywood film according to worldwide gross collections.The script of Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi was recognized by a number of critics and was invited to be included in the Margaret Herrick Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences just a day after its release.

Storyline -

Shy, introverted, and kind-hearted Surinder "Suri" Sahni (Shahrukh Khan) is an office employee for Punjab Power. He meets the daughter of his former professor (M.K. Raina), beautiful and vivacious Taani Gupta (Anushka Sharma), during the preparations for her wedding. A short while later, the shocking news arrives that her fiancé and his wedding entourage were killed in a road accident. Taani's father suffers a heart attack at the news. Fearing that Taani will be alone in the world, the professor on his deathbed, requests Suri to marry her. Suri silently concedes as he likes her anyway; Taani tearfully agrees for her father's sake.After an impromptu wedding, Suri takes Taani to his ancestral home in Amritsar. While his good nature leads Suri to treat her with exceptional care, by letting her have his bedroom all to herself, and patience, he is too frightened to profess his love for her. Besides which, Taani tells him that while she will try to be a good wife and thus respect her role in his life, she can never love him due to having no love left within her. Suri, least bothered and grateful for the increasing acts of wifely affection she does show, proceeds to indulge her wishes. These include regular evening trips to the cinema to see song and dance films which appeal to Taani's fantasies about romance and her passion for dancing. She soon asks for Suri's permission, which he grants, to take an expensive dance class with a Bombay company, Dancing Jodi, to unwind from her mundane life at home.

During those evenings spent at the movies, Suri realizes the strong, masculine images that Taani admires and later asks his long-time chum Balwinder "Bobby" Khosla (Vinay Pathak), a hair-salon owner, for grooming advice so as to win her love. Bobby gives him a complete makeover — shaving off his mustache (an accidental gag), modding his hairstyle, fitting him out in funky Western-style clothing including aviator-style shades with oversize pastel lenses. Suri is thus transformed into "Raj Kapoor", a name he borrows from the hero of the movie that Taani had admired. He joins the dance class to be near her. By chance — or, as he puts it, by divine choice — he becomes Taani's partner in the competition. Despite Raj's initial over-the-top attempts to emulate the "cool" images from movies, he and Taani become friends as they work together on their dance routine. Suri feels encouraged when Taani does not tie a rakhi (holy thread) on "Raj's" wrist during the festival of Raksha Bandhan (for to do so would indicate that she thought of him only as a brother). Thus, after some time, Raj declares his love for her.Taani is shocked, to say the least, and enters into a period of internal conflict. Suri also faces a dilemma: Taani's misery as his wife in contrast to her delight with his fabricated alter ego, Raj. He thus attempts to win Taani's love as Suri, an act which only alienates her further. She eventually runs away to find Raj to tell him the predicament she is in, hoping he will help her. He offers to elope with her, which she agrees to, tearfully. They set the date for their elopement to the next night, the night of the competition. Later that night, Suri tells Bobby that he will end the charade in his own way, i.e., sacrifice his cravings for her love, leave her his property and transfer himself to Delhi.

On the day of the competition, Suri takes Taani to the Golden Temple to gain God's blessings for her performance that night and, internally, also for her life with(out) Raj. While there, Taani has a realization in which she believes God has shown her a sign that her marriage to Suri is divinely inspired. For the first time she reflects on her husband and becomes aware of the strength and integrity of Suri's character, something she can grow to love. Taani thus tells Raj that she cannot choose him over her newly discovered life-partner. She leaves him in what appears to be a state of shock with tears in his eyes. When the time comes for their performance Taani is stunned to see Suri instead of Raj joining her on stage. While dancing Taani puts two and two together and through a series of flashbacks awakens to the fact that Suri is Raj. Backstage she confronts Suri and when he confesses his love for her, she tearfully admits that she returns his feelings. The two, having won the competition, head off on a honeymoon to Japan.

Housefull 2 (also known as Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen) is a 2012 Indian comedy film directed by Sajid Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It is the sequel to the 2010 film, Housefull and stars Akshay Kumar, Asin Thottumkal, Jacqueline Fernandez, John Abraham in the lead roles, whilst Ritesh Deshmukh, Zarine Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Shazahn Padamsee, Randhir Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Boman Irani play supporting roles.The music is composed by Sajid-Wajid.The film is said to be inspired from the 2003 Tamil film Banda Paramasivam directed by T.P. Gajendran and starring Prabhu Ganesan and Kalabhavan Mani in lead characters which in turn is a remake of Malayalam film Mattupetti Machan. Upon release the film received mixed reviews, however, the response was more positive than its predecessor and it opened very well at the box office and was declared a Super Hit at the Box Office.

Storyline -

The film opens in a circus, where two cousins — Henna (Asin Thottumkal) and Bobby (Jacqueline Fernandez), the two daughters of the Kapoor family who hate each other very much starts quarreling for something relating to their duties of Animals' Law Authority. Their fathers Chintu (Rishi Kapoor) and Dabboo (Randhir Kapoor) are step-brothers who hate each other to the very core. Even their wives and daughters hate each other very much. Chintu wants the richest son-in law for his daughter, Henna, while Dabboo too wants the same for his daughter, Bobby. Aakhri Pasta (Chunky Pandey), a marriage counselor, brings Jai's (Shreyas Talpade) father to Chintu.

However, Chintu verbally abuses the father and he ends in a hospital. Jai gets angry and vows revenge telling his friend, Jolly (Ritesh Deshmukh) who is the son of billionaire, J.D. (Mithun Chakraborty) to go to Chintu, accept to marry his daughter and then break off the wedding at the last minute. However, Jolly is very scared of his father and suggests Max (John Abraham), their former college mate and a thief, to do the job. Jai goes with Max as his driver but somehow, they end in the wrong house and go to Dabboo's house.Jai and Max later find out their mistake. Jai, still wanting revenge, doesn't know what to do and Jolly suggests another former sleazy college mate, Sunny (Akshay Kumar). Jolly goes with Sunny as his bodyguard because Max and Sunny are sworn enemies and as Dabboo's house and Chintu's house are right next to each other, their plan may get destroyed.

Dabboo gets Jolly (Max) engaged to Bobby and Chintu gets Jolly (Sunny) engaged to Henna. After Sunny fools Chintu, Chintu calls Dabboo in excitement and tells him that his daughter, Henna, is getting married to Jolly, the son of J.D. Confused, and believing Max to be Jolly, Dabboo takes Max and Bobby to J.D.'s mansion. Sunny handles the situation well by fooling J.D. by taking the name of his religion and tells him that Max is Jolly's friend and Bobby is Max's fiance (though actually it is true) and Max's father is against his and Bobby's marriage. J.D. then welcomes Bobby, Max and her family to his house and tells them to stay there up to Bobby and Max's marriage.Batuk Patel arrives with his daughter Parul to make things worse. Jai and Jwala come to receive them from the airport. But when they see Parul, Jai and Jwala lie that Jai is Jolly. Parul becomes happy hearing this as she secretly loved him. JLo gives Jwala the ultimatum  — take me to your house or forget me. To help Jwala, Sunny lies to J.D. saying that JLo his fiance and J.D. again agrees to let her live there as Sunny takes the name of his religion. Sunny and Max lie to their respective father-in-laws that the other guy is the son of J.D. and a maid servant in the mansion. This creates a lot of confusion.

When Sunny's father as well as Max's 'Guru' tells them never to break anyone's heart, Sunny and Max tell the truth to Henna and Bobby. Enraged, Bobby and Henna slap Max and Sunny respectively and tell them that they never want to see their faces again. But thinking that instead of telling the truth, Sunny and Max could have done more wrong with them, the two sisters pardon the two boys on the very next day. There Jai and Jolly also let off their plan of revenge on Kapoors on Jai's father's advice. Then Henna proposes Sunny in Sunny's language and Bobby proposes Max in Max's language.On the day of the four couples' marriage, J.D. and the other brides' fathers learn the truth about the grooms and that they have been lying all this time. Finally Bobby and Henna convince their fathers to forget their enmity and live together as blood brothers. Chintu and Dabboo join hands and so do their wives. But J.D. was not convinced by them telling the truth, so he turns back into Jagga Dakku and starts frightening the families with his gun. He shoots Sunny with his gun as Sunny is running towards J.D to save him from the falling chandelier and then he understands what was happening. In the end, all the grooms get married to their respective girlfriends.

Tezz (English: Fast/Speed) is a 2012 Hindi action thriller film directed by Priyadarshan. The film features an ensemble cast including Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Boman Irani, Kangna Ranaut, Sameera Reddy, and Zayed Khan. It also had Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal in a cameo. The stunt choreographer chosen for the movie was Gareth Milne, the stunt co-ordinator of Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer and National Treasure: Book of Secrets.Tezz was earlier titled "Bullet Train". The official trailer was released on January 4, 2012. The movie was released on April 27th, 2012 in 2000 screens.

Storyline -

Aakash Rana (Ajay Devgn), is an engineer who stays with his UK citizen wife Nikita (Kangna Ranaut) in London before his illegal status gets discovered and the courts order him deported, thus crushing his dreams of an ideal life.Four years later, Rana returns with vengeance on his mind and teams up with his former employees Adil Khan (Zayed Khan) and Megha (Sameera Reddy) to wreak some havoc. What follows is a bomb threat on a train and a tensed Railway Control officer Sanjay Raina (Boman Irani) and Anti-Terrorism officer Arjun Khanna (Anil Kapoor) trying every trick in the book to avert the disaster and to apprehend the culprits. Sanjay Raina trying his best to save his daughter Piya (Avika Gor) and the passengers in the train who are thrown in the mix are police officer Shivan Nair (Mohanlal) and his team of cops, who are escorting a prisoner on the same ill-fated train and the stage is set for thrills galore and an exciting cat and mouse chase.

Don 2: The King is Back is a 2011 Indian action film directed by Farhan Akhtar. It is a sequel to the 2006 film, Don: The Chase Begins Again. The film stars Shahrukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles while Om Puri, Lara Dutta and Kunal Kapoor play supporting characters. Shooting was carried out in India, Germany, Malaysia and Switzerland. The plot of the film continues from the end of the first film, starting in Malaysia and moving to Europe. The release and marketing of the film was carried out on 23 December 2011 by Reliance Entertainment, in both 2D and 3D formats,which included the dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu.The film marks Farhan Akhtar's return to direction after a gap of nearly 5 years. It also marks Khan's return to playing villainous characters since his earlier films like Darr and Baazigar.Don 2 is the first sequel in Khan's two-decade long career.

Storyline -

The bosses of the European drug cartel meet in the French Riviera to discuss a new threat emerging from Asia. Don (Shahrukh Khan) is jeopardizing their business because he is able to sell drugs at a much lower price. The bosses send word out that Don must die. Don has been living in Thailand for the past five years and goes to a remote settlement to pick up a shipment of drugs. Instead of a normal transaction, Don has to fight his way out because the more powerful European bosses want him dead. He then goes back to Malaysia where he surrenders to Roma (Priyanka Chopra) and Inspector Malik (Om Puri). Don is sentenced to death and sent to a Malaysian prison where he meets Vardhaan (Boman Irani). Don and Vardhaan escape the prison by poisoning all the inmates and go to Switzerland where they retrieve the contents of a locker only Vardhaan could access. The locker holds a tape that shows Diwan (Aly Khan), the vice president of a money printing bank, bribing someone to kill a competitor. Don blackmails Diwan into giving him the codes to the bank so that he can steal the printing plates. Diwan gives him fake information and hires assassins to kill Don. Don escapes and forces the assassins to work for him instead. Diwan is then forced to hand over the real information.

Don and his new team plan a bank robbery and carry out their plan by taking hostages. After stealing the printing plates, Don is betrayed by Vardhaan and his team but manages to escape. However, one of the members, Sameer (Kunal Kapoor), calls the police and Don is captured. Unable to enter the bank and free the hostages, the police are forced to work with Don to get back into the bank in exchange for immunity. Don and Roma manage to reach Vardhaan but Roma is shot because she refuses to kill Don when forced by Vardhaan. Don, Vardhaan and his thugs fight and Don manages to defeat them. He then get his immunity papers and carries Roma out to an ambulance. Don and Roma exchange one glance at each other before the ambulance doors close. Don then detonates a bomb he planted earlier in Diwan’s car. It is revealed that Don actually still has the original money plates and gave fake ones to the police. The fake plates are destroyed in the explosion that kills Diwan. The police cannot do anything as Don has immunity now and do not know that Don has the real plates. Don also gives the police a disc of all his associates but it is really a disc with the names of the European drug cartel. All the members of the cartel are arrested and Don becomes the king of the European underworld.

Ra.One (Hindi: रा.वन; full: Random Access–Version 1.0) is a 2011 Hindi science fiction superhero film written and directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan in dual roles, as a game developer and his superhero look-alike G.One, also stars Kareena Kapoor, Armaan Verma and Arjun Rampal as the titular game villain Ra.One. Shahana Goswami, Dalip Tahil and Chinese-American actor Tom Wu appear in supporting roles, along with Rajinikanth, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra making guest appearances. It is jointly produced by Eros International and Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment,and was originally scheduled to release on 3 June 2011. However, due to extensive post-production work involving special effects and the 3D conversion, its release was postponed.

Storyline -

Jenny Nayar (Goswami), an employee of UK based Barron Industries, introduces a new technology in which objects from the digital world can be brought into the real world, using the wireless transmissions from multiple wireless devices. Shekhar Subramanium (Khan), an employee of the company, faces his last chance to come up with a video game with a difference. In order to impress his son Prateek (Verma), and upon the request of his wife Sonia (Kapoor), he takes his son’s idea that the antagonist should be more powerful than the protagonist.Akashi (Wu) provides the moves, Jenny does the programming and Shekhar gives his face to the protagonist G.One, whilst the antagonist Ra.One is faceless with powers substantially higher than those granted to G.One. The game has three levels, and either of the players can only be killed in the third level with a special gun that has only one bullet. While designing the game, Akashi notices some malfunctions, but ignores them. When the game is finally launched, it receives a standing ovation and Prateek loves it so much that he insists on playing it instantly. He logs in under the alias 'Lucifer' and goes to the second level, but is interrupted by Akashi as it is time to go home. Ra.One, being unable to end his turn with Lucifer, says that Lucifer shall die.

After the mainframe doesn't shut down, Akashi calls Shekhar who notices something wrong. Ra.One uses the initially introduced technology to come to life, kills Akashi, and goes to find Lucifer. Shekhar rushes home but is blocked by Ra.One on the way. In an attempt to save his son, Shekhar claims that he is Lucifer. However, Ra.One scans his I.D., and kills him for faking it. Upon noticing the strange case of his father’s death, Prateek realizes that Ra.One has come to life. Along with Jenny, he goes to Shekhar's workspace and tries to bring G.One to life. Sonia arrives and asks Prateek to leave with her for India. Ra.One, having taken the form of Akashi, chases them, but G.One enters the real world through Jenny's computer and saves them by initiating a gas explosion which destroys Ra.One into constituent cubes levelled along the road, and takes his H.A.R.T. Finding it impossible to leave him, Sonia takes G.One to India with her through Shekhar’s passport. G.One promises her that he will protect them from any harm. Meanwhile, Ra.One returns to life and takes his humanized form of a model on a billboard (Rampal) and goes after G.One.

During Prateek's birthday party, Ra.One hypnotizes Sonia, assumes her form and kidnaps Prateek. He instructs G.One to give him his H.A.R.T. back and sends the real Sonia in an uncontrollable local train in Mumbai. G.One saves Sonia just at the nick of the time, and then goes back to save Prateek. The game resumes with Prateek controlling G.One's moves. Following a lengthy fight, both of the characters finally reach the third level. With little powers left, the pair trick Ra.One into shooting G.One without his H.A.R.T. attached to him. Furious, Ra.One creates ten alternatives. Prateek, unable to differentiate the real one, asks G.One to quote one of Shekhar’s sayings stored in his folder: "बुराई संग जो मेल रचाया, फिर कभी न छूटे उसका साया" ("If you join the forces of evil, its shadows shall always follow you"). The pair then realize that only one of the ten Ra.Ones has a shadow. G.One shoots him and transports himself back to the digital world after absorbing Ra.One's remains. Several months later, Prateek and Sonia return back to the UK, where the former finally manages to restore G.One back to the real world.

Ra.One (Hindi: रा.वन; full: Random Access–Version 1.0) is a 2011 Hindi science fiction superhero film written and directed by Anubhav Sinha. The film, which features Shahrukh Khan in dual roles, as a game developer and his superhero look-alike G.One, also stars Kareena Kapoor, Armaan Verma and Arjun Rampal as the titular game villain Ra.One. Shahana Goswami, Dalip Tahil and Chinese-American actor Tom Wu appear in supporting roles, along with Rajinikanth, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra making guest appearances. It is jointly produced by Eros International and Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment,and was originally scheduled to release on 3 June 2011. However, due to extensive post-production work involving special effects and the 3D conversion, its release was postponed.

Development of the project commenced in 2004 when Sinha wrote a three-page short story based on a commercial he had seen. Upon finalizing the story, pre-production work began after the release of Khan's Om Shanti Om in 2007,with principal photography commencing in March 2009.In July 2011, it was announced that the entire film would be converted into 3D.With an estimated budget of around INR175 crore (US$39.03 million),Ra.One overtook Enthiran (2010) to become India's most expensive film to date.Prior to its international release of 26 October 2011, the film had multiple premieres in Dubai, London and Toronto during the period of October 24 - 26.The film released across 5,000 screens worldwide in 2D and around 600 screens in 3D,along with its dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu and German,making it the largest Indian cinematic release in the world.

Storyline -

The storyline of the film revolves around a father and son’s relationship. Shekhar Subramaniam (Shahrukh Khan), a geeky gaming expert, wants to be a super hero for his son Prateek (Armaan Verma). But his young son, like all kids, thinks super villains are more cool. In an effort to impress his son, Shekhar designs a game which changes their lives. He creates the ultimate clash of good against evil by pitting a very powerful anti-hero "Ra.One" against a seemingly less potent good guy "G-One".

Rockstar is a 2011 Hindi musical film directed by Imtiaz Ali, starring Ranbir Kapoor and debutant Nargis Fakhri, with music composed by A. R. Rahman. Eros International Ltd. co-produces the film with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd. The film also stars Shammi Kapoor, Aditi Rao Hydari, Moufid Aziz, Piyush Mishra, Shernaz Patel and Kumud Mishra, with the former making his last silver screen appearance in this film. The film released on 11 November 2011 to mixed reviews, however opened well at the box office.

Storyline -

The film opens with Janardhan Jakhar a.k.a JJ/Jordan (Ranbir Kapoor) making a rock star entrance, in a stadium concert in Prague. Janardan, born and brought up in the very middle class locality of Pitampura in Delhi, has a larger than life dream of being a rockstar like Jim Morrison. But all he gets from his reluctant audience is ridicule and humiliation. His College canteen head makes him realize that all musicians, or all artists in fact, have one thing in common. That is "tragedy" and they all have suffered painful heartbreaks to become what they are. Whereas Janardhan resents the fact that he has no pain in his life. Hoping to pursue pain, Janardan flirts with serial heart-breaker and college hottie, Kashmiri girl Heer Kaul (Nargis Fakhri). While Heer refuses his proposal, with Janardan trying to be heart-broken. However both Janardhan and Heer get friendly following several awkward proposals, with both bonding over doing wild things like drinking desi alcohol, watching B-grade porn in seedy theatre halls, etc.

It's Heer's wedding in Kashmir, with Janardhan helping her out in Shopping, etc after they enjoy a bike ride in Kashmir. The wedding leads to Heer’s departure to Prague with her husband (Moufid Aziz). Janardhan is however clobbered and thrown out of his house by his brother for attending Heer’s wedding and for a robbery he hasn’t committed. He takes refuge for two months in Nizamuddin Dargah where he spends some time making a living babbling bhajans, followed by taking refuge in his college canteen head's home.A classical singer, Ustad Jameel Khan (Shammi Kapoor), hears him singing one day and prompts Dhingra (Piyush Mishra), the owner of a music company, to sign him as he foresees a great future for him. Janardhan’s work is now being looked after by his sympathiser, Khatana. Janardhan Jakhar becomes Jordan, a revolutionary solo artist, as he heads to Prague for a song recording, where reunites with Heer. After few dance and songs to amuse the country’s tourism board, Jordan and Heer finally intimate. Heer also suffers from psychiatric issues and is finally diagnosed with a form of terminal bone marrow cancer.

Jordan on departing to India, he attempts to say "bye" to Heer, where he is arrested by Cops for trespassing on Heer’s property. He is then brought to India, with media putting himself in bad light. Being frustrated, Jordan clashes media persons and Indian Police and later is sent to jail. Dhingra, owner of Platinum Music, is happy about the publicity he had got because of Jordan. Soon he records typical Indian music songs along with Ustad Jameel Khan. Before his live perfomance, he receives a call from Mandy (Heer's younger sister) asking him to help Heer as the later is seriously unwell. Neena Kaul (Shernaz Patel) angry on her daughter's plan, asks Jordan to leave her house. For her surprise, Heer recovers because of Jordan and so they fly again from Prague to India along with her sister. On reaching, Jordan again clashes with media people as they link him with Heer, stating that she is already married to another person. Heer and Mandy depart for Prague, however her body condition worsens as she reaches coma stage, with shockingly pregnant because of Jordan. He is called to Prague again by Mandy hoping that she recovers but doesn't. The film ends with Jordan performing "Nadaan Parindey", as he feels Heer is with him in the stage, however not.

The Dirty Picture (Hindi: द डर्टी पिक्चर) is a 2011 Indian biographical film based on the life of Silk Smitha. The film was directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor, together after their last hit Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010).The film stars Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi in lead roles.The Dirty Picture released worldwide on December 2, 2011 on the birth anniversary of Smitha. The film released in Hindi and Telugu languages.Upon release, the film had garnered mostly positive reviews, and did well at the box office.

Storyline -

The film opens with Reshma (Vidya Balan) running away from her house to Chennai a day before her marriage. She tries her best to get a role in a movie as a side dancer but is eventually insulted by the casting director for being unattractive and useless. However the determined Reshma goes to the film shoot to convince him once again thereby grabbing the role of a side dancer. She wears revealing outfits and dances with whips to the most erotic dance movements and expressions. Annoyed by this is the film’s director Abraham (Emraan Hashmi) who is confident of his own creative art in film-making and does not believe in cheap tricks of displaying erotic and sensual content on screen. The film however fails to impress crowds much to the dismay of the producer SelvaGanesh (Rajesh Sharma) who couldn’t earn much profit. He meets Reshma offering her a song in his upcoming film and suggests that she would now be called as “Silk” onscreen thereafter.

At the first shoot, Reshma now “Silk” is spellbound to meet Suryakanth (Naseeruddin Shah)as he has been her idol actor since childhood. The shoot goes unsuccessful much to the disappointment of the arrogant Suryakanth. Silk, succeeds in seducing and convincing Suryakanth by agreeing to establish a long sexual relationship with him. Meanwhile, Abraham proposes a new film to SelvaGanesh and is very keen to cast Suryakanth. But Suryakanth suggests Abraham to add spice and sex (hinting towards Silk) in the film to make it more commercially viable. This angers Abraham to the core and he develops a strong hatred towards Silk. Silk however is determined and confident that all that public want is entertainment and she gives them that. She goes on to do a lot of erotic and sensual movies with Suryakanth playing very bold characters, wearing sexy and revealing clothes and dancing seductively with lead actors. She now has a lot of male fans who drool over her and go weak at their knees when they see her. Within a short span of time she becomes immensely popular and gains much wealth and reputation as the South Sex Star.

Suryakanth’s younger brother and writer Ramakanth (Tusshar Kapoor) reveals he’s a big fan and admirer of Silk and tries to befriend her. Silk is finally happy that someone loves her for herself and not her body. They both go to Silk’s original house where her mother disconnects with Silk forever. At an award ceremony, Silk is being rewarded for her performance but is also being insulted by Suryakanth by saying that Silk is the dirty secret that no one wants to talk about in broad daylight. But Silk is determined to continue making “The Dirty Pictures” and has no qualms about it.Silk spends time with her newfound admirer Ramakanth, who is now in love with her. Sensing this as possible sensational news, noted journalist Naila (Anju Mahendru) publishes an article in a newspaper degrading Silk for her character and accusing her of seducing and using both the brothers to get opportunities in films. Suryakanth finally drops Silk of his forthcoming films forcing her to work with other small time film makers. Unhappy about her losing stardom she is unable to concentrate on her work leading to hurls and abuses from directors. Later at a party, Silk meets Shakeela. Feeling threatened that Shakeela might replace her in the movie industry; she insults her and challenges her to take up a dance competition. At the end of the dance, Silk makes Shakeela trip intentionally showing her that she cannot be beaten, much to the embarrassment of Ramakanth and as expected, he breaks off with her.

Silk’s life starts falling apart. Feminists and critics degrade her. She is an alcoholic and a chain smoker. She has gained weight due to which no producer wants to cast her in their movies. She approaches SelvaGanesh to produce a film which turns out to be a disaster and eventually loses all her wealth and fame. Abraham who earlier hated Silk has now developed a soft corner for her in his heart. Unable to control his emotions, he heads off to Silk’s house in the night where they spend the night together not by making love but by talking about Silk’s struggles in her life and her stardom. He is finally in love with Silk for the wonderful heart she got. But due to the film’s failure, Silk has accumulated debt. She is forced to meet a small time film maker whom she met in Ramakanth’s party before. Upon reaching there, she’s shocked to find that the director wants her to do a porn film to which she alarmingly refuses.

The director intoxicates her by a drink and starts shooting the film but the place is immediately raided by police to which everyone including Silk escape and reaches her home. Meanwhile, Abraham manages to bring Silk’s mother with him and wants to surprise Silk the next morning. That night when he calls Silk from his success party, Silk says him to bid goodbye to all on her behalf as she is going to sleep. Abraham realizes what Silk is up to and rushes to her home only to find her lying in bed, dressed in red Silk sari with traditional Indian make-up but dead. Unable to bear the depression and failure in life, she had killed herself by consuming sleeping pills. At the end, Abraham and her mother perform the funeral rituals.The entire story is told as a background narration by Abraham who was the only one who could understand Silk’s pain, her desires, her ambitions, her struggles and most importantly her rise and fall to stardom.
