The Last Lions is a 2011 American documentary film by National Geographic, videotaped and directed by Dereck and Beverly Joubert. The film premiered at the Palm Springs International Film Festival in January 2011 and was released in select theaters on February 18, 2011.
Storyline -
The film follows in the tradition of other National Geographic big cat
films, such as India: Land of the Tiger and Eye of the Leopard.The film documentary focuses on a lioness named Ma di Tau ("Mother of
Lions") as she battles to protect her cubs against the daunting
onslaught of enemies to ensure their survival. The underlying message of
the film is on the low population of large cats in the world and
whether or not Ma di Tau and her cubs are among the last lions.The film
is narrated by Jeremy Irons.Irons also narrated Eye of the Leopard, a
2006 National Geographic film.

March of the Dinosaurs is a new CGI movie which has appeared on television and was released on a DVD on 27 May 2011. It is set 70 million years ago in the Cretaceous period. It is about a 1000-mile autumn migration of Edmontosaurus and Pachyrhinosaurus from their summer grazing in northwest Canada (then well inside the Arctic Circle, so that the winter night and summer day were each 4 months long) to their winter grazing in the southwest USA, and also a young Troodon which had to stay and endure the Arctic winter. The hazards met are land and water predators, an arctic blizzard, thin ice, crossing a foodless volcanic wasteland, a lahar, and a wide river inhabited by predators. All the scenery and vegetation are CGI.

A 90min long documentary that tells the story of how some Cretaceous dinosaurs migrated hunds of miles to exploit the rich feeding grounds of the far north, whilst other dinosaurs made the north and its freezing, dark winters their permanent home, The programmes is based on real scientific evidence that some types of dinosaurs migrated vast distances to exploit food reserves whilst others made the far north of America their permanent residence.
