Perfect Sense, formerly known as The Last Word, is a 2011 drama film directed by David Mackenzie and written by Kim Fupz Aakeson, starring Eva Green and Ewan McGregor.Scenes were shot in various locations around Glasgow.The film premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Storyline -
A chef and a scientist fall in love as an epidemic begins to rob people of their sensory perceptions.
Ewan McGregor plays Michael, a chef who is happy in his job, so much so his work colleagues and friends say that when he does fall in love he won’t be so happy. But he proves them wrong. He meets Susan (Eva Green) a scientist and they begin a love affair. Nothing seems as if it could hurt them until it’s discovered that a nationwide epidemic is spreading quickly, the symptons of which are that the sensory perceptions of the people are affected. Michael starts to change his character from the happy person he was, to an angry moody man. Has he been affected by the epidemic? Susan leaves him and we see a man full of despair and sadness for his behaviour and loss of his love. Will there be a cure? Will the love of Michael and Susan ever be the same again?
